And! The first song offered by Pandora is "Herr Drosselmeyer's Doll," a personal favorite which reminds me that today we have two illustrations of why Writing is Like Mad Science.

First, we have today's Narbonic, which sets out one of the central theses of Carousel Tides, and very neatly, too.

Second, we have Theo in the Crazy Place, which is so Just Exactly Like. . .no, it is, trust me.

As a long time fan of both your work and Shaenon's, I'm delighted to discover you're a fan of Narbonic. Hurrah for overlapping fandoms!

You might enjoy Alicia Buck's first novel "Flecks of Gold" where an evil magician can also enslave people to his will. But if you are a machine? Then there's Battlestar Gallactica.

Wishing Theo all the best. But as I say Theo can definitely kick butt. So I have every confidence in her.
C. Gus has retired early. He had a busy day.
